Enjoy a relaxing evening of tea sampling and information, conducted by Certified Tea experts.  Learn about the History of Tea, how different teas are produced, and proper brewing techniques.

• "Cup" and compare superior loose-leaf teas from the traditional tea producing countries of Sri Lanka, China, India, Japan and Taiwan. 

• Taste and experience the difference between quality loose leaf Sri Lankan (Ceylon) teas versus tea bags. 

• We will review individual tea characteristics and their origins, the history of tea drinking, and why it has become the second most consumed beverage in the world. 

• Learn tips for easy brewing, obtain impressive health knowledge, and identify the impact different teapots have on brewing tea. 

• We will also view a 15 minute video, filmed in Sri Lanka, that will walk us through the complete production process of Ceylon Tea. 
  
  The seminars will introduce newcomers to a world of enjoyment, and seasoned connoisseurs will expand their knowledge of premium teas.

Afkham Salie, President of Royal Teas, LLC, is Certified by the Specialty Tea Institute of America.  Afkham has resided in Sri Lanka for the last 14 years, during which time he has sourced tea directly from the plantations and exported it to U.S. markets.

Haleema Salie, of Timeless Teas, is also Certified by the Specialty Tea Institute of America.  Mrs. Salie and her husband have been involved in the tea business for over 30 years.  Their vast experience includes exporting and distributing teas, and participating in Expos in Sri Lanka, Japan and the U.S.
